Cheese Buns


Hubby is outstationed so it's only me & fat cheeks at home over the weekend. For a simple & stress free breakfast, I decided to make these buns. They are simple & fat cheeks love them especially when it's served with her favourite soft boiled eggs. It's very soft & fluffy, yummy enough to be eaten on it's on. The recipe is adapted from Happy Home Baking's Sweet Buns recipe.

Ingrediens:
- 150g bread flour
- 150g cake flour
- 5g instant yeast
- 3g salt
- 125g milk
- 1 egg
- 60g caster sugar
- 50g butter
- grated parmesan cheese
- 1 beaten egg for glazing

Method:
- mix dry ingredients
- add milk, egg, sugar knead for 5-10 mins
- add butter & knead for another 20 mins till dough is shiny & does not stick
- proof for 1 hr or till double in size
- punch out gas & divide into 60g portions
- shape dough into balls
- arrange in a greased or pan lined with baking sheet
- rest 15mins
- glaze buns with egg wash
- sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese
- bake at 190 deg c for 15-20mins
(*Note: the cheese burns easily, so check buns frequently & when it's browned nicely, cover buns with aluminin foil & con't cooking)
