It's been a long while since I've blogged. It's been really stressful & crazy at work. The crucial part is now finally over and I can pause to take a breather. Anyways, during my crazy bake days, I baked this hot dog bun. It looks really pretty with the criss cross pattern. I used the Extra Lean Japanese frozen hot dog. Tasted very much like the Taiwanese Xiang Chang, not too bad and it's less salty. Unfortunatly hubby didn't like it but my mum loved it. To each his own I guess. Next time will get the ang mo saugage that hubby likes.

I've been bitten by the baking bug! Baking is addictive! I find the whole process very enjoyable & destressing. I even baked on a week night. =) Anyways a friend who is now living blissfully in Sweden shared this recipe. When I told hubby about it he kept bugging me to bake it for him. He like fat cheeks love sweet stuff.
My pie turned out to be more like a dense cake, not sure if it was suppose to be this way. Nevertheless, it was very fragrant & hubby polished off most of it with a satisfied smile on his face. =)

My very 1st bun fresh from the oven! Only a nut like me will bake buns in the middle of the night and still stay up to blog about it. Hahaha...I'm just too excited. I've always wanted to bake bread and buns but never had the courage to. Then a few months ago, I came across this site http://happyhomebaking.blogspot.com/. The pictures are very beautifully taken & the blog so well written that it inspired me to start my own. For my buns, I adapted her Sweet Buns recipe. Over all, I'm really happy with the results. It's still a far cry in terms of looks. The only bun that looks decent gets the honor of its picture being displayed here. =)
